i fight myself to sleep, my eyelids, heartbeats are lead weights of despair and sor-rows. the years disappeared within loneliness. to manage staying alive i keep my visions to myself. you were once my friend, a sinister. the sinister composition was written by par grindvik during 2009 and 2010. writing sinister was part of a healing process. the original sinister was never meant to be released - and it will probably never be. however, in 2010 par came up with the idea of handing out parts from the original, to a few of his friends, and to release different interpretations derived from these parts. the new interpretations would mark the beginning of a new label project cal¬led sinister. next to par’s own rework of the original, you will find the following interpretations. samuel l session (klap klap, music man, soma, be as one), s100 (stockholm ltd), gary beck (minus, soma, saved), staffan linzatti (stockholm ltd, searchlights), jesper dahlbäck (isl, drumcode, h-prod)

this new reference on dilek records is something very particular and out of the ordinary. it was achieved after a long period of work in the studio, which lasted three years and was done with a lot of heart and passion. its the 10th vinyl release of this surprising swiss/argentinean label who is now presenting an extremely multicultural project. these productions are full of diversity and humanity, telling the story of an unusual encounter that led to a beautiful musical project with many influences, but mainly focused on the dancefloor, without complexes and far away from the purism.

shakarchi & straneus are faik and daniel, two bffs from gothenburg who are making some of the most catchy, emotional and well crafted dance music we have heard in a long time. both had been involved in music for a while when they started working together at their hometowns top tapas joint, manana. in between washing dishes and serving patatas bravas, the boys would burst out short tracks and sound experiments in the makeshift studio they had set up inside mananas cloakroom. this led to a debut 12 inch on malmo based geography recordings and now comes their five track ep >dodskallar och korallrev<: studio barnhus second release, the best swedish house record since jesper dahlbacks >what is the time mr. templar?<, something we are immensely proud of being able to release.

mike minds only previous release, >acid machine<, has been tigas most played record since it was made. a full-time turbo employee, he has spent the past few years getting his brain around making techno, and continues to impress us with his output. his debut ep, >resonate<, is something of a departure for our label, and one we are very proud of.
its amazing to have this kind of music coming directly out of turbo hq, it nails a sound that we have always tried to cultivate. minimal without being boring, trippy without being predictable, unafraid of melody, and with just enough analog imperfection and warmth to it.
both of the remixers we chose represent different sounds in techno that have influenced mikes sound.

giorgio gigli is an italian minimal-trance maestro, an incredibly modern renaissance man who is also a trained sommelier.** he is rising in the ranks and catching up in profile to his occasional production partner, donato dozzy. hopefully we will have more of his tracks on turbo soon.

hobo is a fellow canadian best known for his excellent work on m¦nus. rumor has it, he borrowed richies quad-macro template file to finish the final version of this remix... whatever he did, his second effort came up huge, this mix is excellent.

kebacid is the production alias for turbo all-stars jesper dahlbäck and jori hulkkonen. their previous releases on jespers defunct blank ltd are some of the best acid tracks of the decade. this is a monster that ought to keep all the die-hard turbo fans happy.
